INCLUSIVE EMPLOYERS PROGRAM

Inclusive Networking is offering an Inclusive Employers Program open to Minnesota-based companies who want to gain knowledge and experience employing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Inclusive Employers Program launched in 2020 when Inclusive Networking was awarded a two-year grant from Minnesota Department of Human Services - Disability Service Division that supports new and innovative ideas to help people with disabilities gain meaningful and competitive employment.

Customized employment means individualizing the employment relationship between employees and employers in ways that meet the needs of both. We will work with your company to train and implement Customized Employment practices and support departments to customize positions for 3-6 individuals with disabilities.

What the program offers free-of-charge:

  • 6 hours of training on Customized Employment for key program staff

  • Employer Needs and Benefits Analysis of select company departments

  • Development of 3-6 customized positions to meet your business’s needs

  • Pre-screening and connecting of prospective employees that interests, skills, and conditions match the positions

  • Recognition in an end-of-year event

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Program commitments:

  • Candidates must participate in the Customized Employment Training and Department Analysis

  • Candidates must be open to hiring 3-6 people with disabilities 

  • Candidates preferably are a Minnesota fortune 1000 company
